3G Welding Certification Course
This course provides the study and hands on skills of welding metal. Related areas covered are tool and equipment safety, theory of the welding processes, equipment set-up, corrective actions on identified welding problems, operation of metal shop equipment, basic welding skills. Hands on activities include Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and use of adjunctive tools such as band saws, drill press, cutting torch and grinding equipment.
Certifications offered with successful course completion:
• Credential: American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1, FCAW, 3G, P1 3/8"
Class length: 8 week course
